Research
The research at the Chair of Clinical Neuropsychology focuses on people’s vulnerability to suffer from psychological disorders due to changes to the central nervous system (CNS) as a result of systematic stress experienced during early childhood. However, structural or functional changes in the CNS due to acute or chronic stress are also frequently addressed by our researchers. One of the basic assumptions in this research is that the changes in the CNS precede a change in the regulation of stress / energy systems, which then leads to an increased vulnerability in regard to psychological disorders.
