EUCLID

Electronic survey on the coronavirus situation in Germany: This online survey was launched in 2020 in response to the global outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 (and the associated COVID-19 disease).

The survey initially began as a study by students as part of the two seminars "Risk perception and risk communication" in the winter semester 2019/20 and "Risk perception and risk communication - part II" in the summer semester 2020.

EUCLID quickly developed into a large-scale representative study with more than 120,000 participants. The repeated data collections took place not only in Germany, but also in 10 other countries through co-operation with partners.

The project aims to track the following aspects over the course of the pandemic:

1. Subjective health & symptoms
2. Perceived risk & outbreak related perceptions
3. Protection motivation & behavior
4. Expected future developments of the current outbreak
