Questionnaire
Depending on the purpose of the study, we use both paper-pencil and online questionnaires.
Questionnaires are a classic in psychological research. Questionnaire studies can be carried out with a "paper-pencil" (paper questionnaire) or online.
Paper questionnaire: for surveys "on site"
Traditional paper questionnaires ("paper pencil") are still the method of choice for "on-site" surveys. For example, we conducted a canteen survey at the University of Konstanz using paper questionnaires. In this study, we were able to specifically survey cafeteria guests immediately after their meal.
Online surveys: enable large sample sizes
With the help of online questionnaires, it is possible to reach many people for surveys. In addition, representative samples that reflect the composition of the population in terms of certain characteristics such as age or gender can be collected in cooperation with survey institutes. During the coronavirus pandemic, online questionnaires were also a way of gaining contactless insights into people's experiences and behaviour. For example, more than 120,000 people were surveyed in the EUCLID project.
