Short bio

George Fejer is a doctoral candidate in cognitive psychology at the University of Constance. He is a team coordinator of the ALIUS research network studying the diversity of consciousness and an affiliate member of the Centre for the Advanced Study of Collective Behavior. He studied Bioscience (B.Sc.) at the University of Heidelberg and Cognitive Neuropsychology (M.Sc.) at the Vrije University in Amsterdam. His research investigated the subperceptual effects of psychedelics on the sense of awe, emotion regulation, time perception, and synchrony detection. Furthermore, he investigated the effects of breathwork, and the compared phenomenology of serotonergic psychedelics versus anticholinergic hallucinogens based on a quantitative analysis of subjective reports. His current research focuses on out-of-body experiences, multiperson brain-scanning, and the augmentation of interceptive cues (e.g. heart rate, breathwork) with biofeedback technologies.
