Lecture series WS 2021/22

On 17.02.2022, the Psychotherapy Lecture Series will start with an online event after a break due to Corona. This takes up a topic that is disappearing from the professional public's field of vision in view of the major mental health challenges of our time: The large gap in care for mentally distressed refugees in Germany.

The event is being held in cooperation with the city of Singen, a municipality that accommodates many refugees and directly experiences their need for help. The event will be moderated by Mayor Ute Seifried. We have won the chairman of the Federal Chamber of Psychotherapists and the Baden-Württemberg State Chamber of Psychotherapists, Dr Dietrich Munz, to give an introduction to this topic. In the main part of the event, the team of the integration project of the University of Constance will present the local model, which supports care in the regular system with various tools (e.g. language mediation, peer support, intervision, etc.). Psychological and medical psychotherapists in private practice in the Constance district can be supported by this project in the treatment of refugees.
