Study programmes at the Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology is offering the polyvalent 3-year Bachelor's programme in Psychology in accordance with the licensing regulations (Approbationsordnung) of the new Psychotherapists Act. Admission takes place in the winter semester.
The 4-year Bachelor's programme offered since the winter semester 2009/10 is being phased out, and admission is no longer possible.
Since the winter semester 2013/14, a 1-year Master's programme has been offered for combination with the 4-year Bachelor's degree. Admission takes place in the winter and summer semesters.
Starting with the winter semester 2023/24, two consecutive 2-year Master's programmes will be offered for combination with the 3-year Bachelor's programme. There will be a more research-oriented Master's programme in Psychology as well as a Master's program in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (KLIPP), which will enable further psychotherapeutic education in accordance with the licensing regulations (Approbationsordnung) of the new Psychotherapists Act.
